Sphagnum Peat Moss is a lightweight growing-media ingredient commonly used in seed-starting and potting mixes. It holds moisture well while helping create a light, workable root-zone structure.

How to Use

Moisten dry Peat Moss before mixing. For general potting media, use it as one component of the mix rather than as a complete growing solution. A practical starting range is approximately 10–30% of the total mix, adjusted according to the plant and drainage requirement.

Combine with materials such as Perlite, Cocopeat, compost or other suitable potting ingredients. Peat Moss contains limited plant nutrition, so long-term growing mixes require an appropriate nutrient source.

Important pH Note

Sphagnum Peat Moss is naturally acidic and can lower the pH of a growing medium. Use carefully with plants that prefer neutral or alkaline conditions.
