Uses

Potting Mix

Mix perlite with soil, compost or cocopeat to create a lighter and better-draining growing medium.

General mixing ratio:
Use approximately 10–30% perlite in the total potting mix, depending on the plant and drainage requirement.

Seed Starting

Add 10–20% perlite to seed-starting media to improve air circulation and reduce soil compaction around young roots.

Succulents and Cacti

Use a higher proportion of perlite in the potting mix where fast drainage is required. Combine it with a suitable cactus or succulent growing medium.

Indoor Plants

Mix perlite into potting soil for houseplants that require a loose and well-aerated root zone.
