About Horticultural Perlite

Horticultural Perlite is a lightweight mineral growing-media component used to improve aeration, drainage and porosity in potting mixes. It creates air spaces around plant roots and helps reduce compaction in container media.

How to Use

For general potting mixes, use approximately 10–30% Perlite depending on the plant and drainage requirement. For cacti and succulents, a higher proportion may be used where faster drainage is required.

Perlite can be mixed with soil, Cocopeat, Peat Moss, compost or other suitable growing-media ingredients.

Handling Note

Perlite can produce fine dust when dry. Moisten lightly before mixing and avoid breathing dust during handling.
