Grow two different potato varieties in one convenient winter planting deal. This 2 Kg combo contains two separate 1 Kg portions of planting potatoes (seed tubers): red-skinned Lady Rosetta, popular for crisping, and light golden-skinned Mozika, a versatile potato for everyday cooking. Suitable for kitchen gardens, raised beds and container growing in Pakistan.

October – November. In Lahore and other hot plains, start when the autumn soil and weather become cooler. Avoid soggy soil and excessive heat.

Use separate bags for the two varieties if you want to compare growth and harvest; plant approximately 1–2 healthy small seed tubers in each bag, leaving room for tuber development. This deal includes potatoes only, not grow bags.

Recommended Soil / Potting Mix

Use light, aerated, fertile soil with good drainage. A starting mix is approximately 50% garden soil, 25% fully matured compost or GREEN GARDENS Vermicompost, and 25% cocopeat or other airy growing material; adjust to local soil conditions. Do not use fresh manure or allow waterlogging.

Growing Instructions from Seed Potatoes

1. Select firm, healthy tubers with visible eyes. Plant small tubers whole; if larger tubers are cut, allow the cut surfaces to heal before planting.
2. In a grow bag add 4–6 inches of loose potting mix at the base; lay the seed tubers with eyes upwards and cover with 3–4 inches of mix.
3. Place the grow bag in a sunny location where it can receive around 6–8 hours of light; keep the medium consistently but not excessively moist.
4. As plants grow, gradually add extra mix around the lower stems, keeping upper leaves uncovered. Protect developing potatoes from sunlight.
5. Monitor for pests and blight; avoid unnecessary leaf wetness and excessive fertilizer.
6. When the foliage yellows and declines, check maturity and carefully harvest the potatoes, typically around 90–120 days after planting depending on conditions.
