Growing Instructions

1. Soil Preparation

• Use well-drained, fertile soil enriched with compost

• Ideal soil pH: 6.0 – 7.5

• Loosen soil deeply (roots grow long/taproot)

• Remove weeds before sowing

2. Sowing the Seeds

• Sow directly in the ground or in pots

• Depth: 0.5 – 1 cm

• Spacing: 30–45 cm between plants

• Germination: 7–14 days

• Keep soil moist until seedlings appear

3. Watering

• Water regularly but lightly

• Keep soil moist, not soggy

• Reduce watering during very cold spells

4. Sunlight

• Needs full sun for best growth

• Minimum 4–6 hours sunlight daily

5. Fertilizer

• Mix compost at planting time

• Apply a light dose of organic fertilizer every 3–4 weeks

• Avoid excessive nitrogen (causes tall weak growth)

6. Flowering

• Blooms from March to June

• Longer blooming in cool weather
