Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is a fast-growing, heat-loving summer plant known for its bright red calyces, which are used to make herbal teas, drinks, jams, and traditional remedies. The plant produces lush green leaves and beautiful hibiscus-like flowers. It is easy to grow in Pakistan’s summer climate and thrives in both pots and garden beds. Best Time to Sow: March to July (Peak summer growing plant)
Grows well in hot and humid conditions.
Harvest usually starts after 4–5 months.
Use well-drained, fertile soil rich in organic matter.
Ideal pH: 6.0 – 7.5
Add compost before planting for faster growth.
Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep.
Maintain 25–30 cm spacing between plants.
Water lightly after sowing.
