Use:
60% Bhalu Mitti / Sandy Soil + 30% GREEN GARDENS Vermicompost + 10% Cocopeat
The growing medium should be:
Loose, moderately fertile and well-draining.
Avoid:
Heavy compact soil
Poor drainage
Continuous waterlogging
Sow the seeds approximately:
0.5–1 cm deep
in seedling trays, pots, grow bags or directly into prepared garden soil.
Seeds may be sown directly into their final flowering position where conditions are suitable.
Keep the growing medium:
Lightly and consistently moist until germination.
Once seedlings become established, thin them if necessary to maintain good airflow and adequate growing space.
Seeds generally germinate within:
7–14 days
under suitable conditions.
For successful germination:
Use fresh seeds
Maintain mild-to-warm temperatures
Keep the medium lightly moist
Avoid sowing too deeply
Maintain good drainage
Avoid continuous waterlogging
Maintain approximately:
20–30 cm / 8–12 inches between plants
to allow each plant sufficient space to develop its natural bushy and spreading habit.
Provide:
Full sun
For compact growth and abundant flowering:
6+ hours of direct sunlight daily
is recommended where possible.
Water regularly while seedlings are becoming established.
After establishment:
Water when the upper soil layer begins to dry.
Keep the soil moderately moist but never continuously wet.
Good drainage is particularly important.
Unlike many Ipomoea Morning Glory varieties, Convolvulus tricolor is not a vigorous tall climbing vine.
It generally develops a:
Compact, bushy and spreading habit
and usually does not require a trellis.
This makes it particularly useful for:
Flower beds
Borders
Pots
Patio containers
Grow bags
Low flowering displays
At planting time, mix:
into the growing medium.
Convolvulus performs well in moderately fertile, well-draining soil.
Avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer, as overly rich feeding may encourage foliage growth at the expense of flowering.
