Green Capsicum is an F1 hybrid sweet pepper type grown for its blocky green fruits, crisp texture and mild non-pungent flavour.
Plants develop a branching habit and produce flowers followed by green peppers under suitable growing conditions.
Because this is an F1 hybrid product, exact fruit size, maturity time, yield and disease-resistance characteristics should only be stated if verified from the original breeder or seed packet.
Fresh Green Capsicum can be used in:
G-11 Grow Bag – 11 × 10 inch
Suitable for one compact capsicum plant with regular watering and feeding.
G-12 Grow Bag – 12 × 12 inch
Recommended for one established plant with additional root space.
G-24 Grow Bag – 24 × 12 inch
Suitable for several plants when adequate spacing is maintained.
Avoid overcrowding, as good airflow supports healthy flowering and fruit development.
Use:
50% Vermicompost + 50% Bhalu Mitti (Sandy Soil)
Mix thoroughly before sowing or transplanting.
The growing medium should be:
Avoid permanently soggy soil around the roots.
1. Prepare the Growing Medium
Mix 50% Vermicompost + 50% Bhalu Mitti thoroughly and prepare a fine, loose seed-starting surface.
2. Sow the Seeds
Sow approximately:
0.5–1 cm deep
Cover lightly with fine soil.
3. Water Gently
Use a fine mist or gentle shower.
Keep the growing medium evenly moist during germination.
4. Germination
Seeds generally germinate within:
8–14 days
under suitable conditions.
5. Light Requirements
Once established, provide approximately 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
6. Thin the Seedlings
Remove weak and overcrowded seedlings once several true leaves develop.
7. Transplanting
Transplant when seedlings are sturdy and have approximately:
4–6 true leaves
Suitable final locations include raised beds, pots and GREEN GARDENS grow bags.
8. Plant Spacing
Maintain approximately:
35–45 cm between plants
where adequate space is available.
9. Watering
Maintain relatively even soil moisture.
Water when the upper layer begins to dry while allowing excess water to drain freely.
Avoid severe drying followed by heavy watering.
10. Feeding
The recommended soil mix already contains Vermicompost.
Additional GREEN GARDENS Vermicompost may be applied lightly around established plants when required.
Avoid excessive nitrogen feeding after flowering begins.
11. Plant Support
Fruit-loaded branches may benefit from a bamboo stake or soft support.
Tie stems loosely to avoid damage.
12. Flowering & Fruit Development
Small flowers develop into green capsicum fruits.
Maintain regular moisture and sufficient sunlight during fruit development.
13. Harvesting
Harvest fruits when they are:
Use clean scissors or pruning shears rather than pulling fruits from the plant.
Regular harvesting can support continued fruit production.
