• Can also be grown year-round indoors with sunlight.

 Growing Instructions

1. Soil Preparation

• Use well-drained and fertile soil 

• Add 50% vermicompost and 50% sandy soil (Bhall). 

• Ideal pH: 6.0  -  7.0

2. Sowing Method

• Sow seeds shallow (¼ inch deep)

• Lightly cover with soil

• Keep spacing 6 - 8 inches for compact growth

• Mist water gently after sowing

3. Sunlight Requirements

• Needs 5 - 6 hours of direct sunlight per day

• Can tolerate partial shade but prefers bright light

4. Watering

• Keep soil moist but never soggy

• Water when the top layer feels dry

• Avoid overwatering to prevent root issues

5. Temperature

• Ideal growing temperature: 18 - 30°C

• Protect from frost in extreme winter

6. Germination & Growth

• Germination: 7 - 14 days

• Regularly pinch the top leaves to encourage a round, bushy shape

• Remove flower buds to maintain leaf production

7. Harvesting

• Harvest when the plant is 6 - 8 inches tall

• Pick leaves regularly for best flavor

• Use fresh or dry for storing
