Determinate plants generally remain more compact than indeterminate types and produce much of their crop within a relatively concentrated harvesting period.

Determinate cherry tomato plants have a relatively compact growth habit and generally reach a limited mature size compared with indeterminate tomato vines.
The plants produce clusters of small red tomatoes with a juicy texture and fresh tomato flavour.
Because determinate plants tend to set much of their fruit within a more concentrated period, they are particularly convenient for container gardening and limited spaces.
Exact plant height, fruit size, maturity period and productivity may vary according to the seed strain and growing conditions.

Tomatoes require good drainage while also benefiting from consistent soil moisture.
Avoid compact or permanently waterlogged soil.
Prepare a fine, loose and well-drained seed-starting medium.
Seedling trays, small pots or nursery cells can be used.
Sow approximately:
0.5 cm deep
Cover lightly with fine soil or growing medium.
Mist or water gently after sowing.
Keep the medium consistently moist but not soggy.
Seeds generally germinate within:
5–10 days
under suitable warm conditions.
Provide bright light to seedlings after germination.
Once established, plants generally require:
6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily

Although determinate plants are relatively compact, fruiting branches may still become heavy.

Water deeply and regularly.
Keep soil moisture reasonably consistent, particularly during flowering and fruit development.
Avoid allowing plants to become extremely dry and then flooding them with water.

Remove:
Avoid heavy pruning, as determinate plants produce much of their crop on a limited number of branches.
Plants produce small yellow flowers that develop into clusters of cherry tomatoes.
Tomatoes are largely self-pollinating.
Gentle movement from wind or lightly shaking the flowering branches can help pollen distribution.
After successful pollination, small green fruits develop and gradually enlarge.
Fruits mature from green to bright red.
