Use:
60% Bhalu Mitti / Sandy Soil + 30% GREEN GARDENS Vermicompost + 10% Cocopeat
The growing medium should be:
Loose, fertile and well-draining.
Avoid:
Heavy compact soil
Poor drainage
Continuous waterlogging
Celosia performs best in fertile, well-drained soil and a warm sunny position.
Celosia seeds are very small.
Surface sow or cover only very lightly with fine growing medium.
Do not sow deeply.
Keep the growing medium:
Lightly and consistently moist until germination.
Once seedlings are established and large enough to handle, transplant carefully into their final pots, grow bags or garden beds.
Avoid delaying transplanting for too long, as Celosia roots can become disturbed and growth may be affected.
Seeds generally germinate within:
7–14 days
under suitable warm conditions.
For successful germination:
Use fresh seeds
Maintain warm temperatures
Keep the growing medium lightly moist
Avoid deep sowing
Provide bright light
Maintain good drainage
Maintain approximately:
20–30 cm / 8–12 inches between plants
to encourage healthy branching, airflow and good flower development.
Provide:
Full sun
For stronger growth and better flowering:
6+ hours of direct sunlight daily
is recommended.
Celosia argentea performs best in a sunny position.
Water regularly while young plants are becoming established.
After establishment:
Water when the upper soil layer begins to dry.
Keep the soil moderately moist but well-drained.
Avoid continuous waterlogging, as excessively wet conditions may encourage root and foot rot.
At planting time, mix:
into the growing medium.
Light balanced feeding during active growth can support strong flowering.
Avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer, which may encourage leafy growth instead of flower production.
