Grow distinctive Black Round Radish at home with quality seeds suitable for kitchen gardens, raised beds, pots and grow bags. This winter radish develops round, dark black roots with firm white flesh inside. Its unusual appearance makes it an attractive addition to the home garden, while the crisp roots can be used fresh in salads, pickles and other recipes.
For best root development, sow the seeds directly in loose, fertile and well-drained soil. Avoid transplanting because disturbance may affect the shape of the radish. Keep the soil evenly moist, but do not allow waterlogging. Thin crowded seedlings early so each plant has enough space to form a properly rounded root.
