The growing medium should be:
Loose, fertile and well-draining.
Avoid:
Heavy compact soil
Poor drainage
Continuous waterlogging
Amaranthus seeds are very small.
Surface sow or cover the seeds only very lightly with fine growing medium.
Do not sow deeply.
Keep the growing medium:
Lightly and consistently moist until germination.
Once seedlings become established, thin or carefully transplant them into their final pots, grow bags or garden beds.
Seeds generally germinate within:
7–14 days
under suitable warm conditions.
