These fast-growing, low-maintenance plants are perfect for home gardens, containers, and raised beds. Tomatillos are self-infertile, so growing at least two plants ensures optimal fruit production.

 Growing Instructions

Sowing Time:

Best sowing months in Pakistan: January to April for spring crops and August to October for autumn crops.

1. Seed Sowing: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Sow 0.5–1 cm deep in seed trays or pots with well-draining soil.

2. Transplanting: Transplant seedlings outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Space plants 60–90 cm apart.

3. Sunlight: Full sun (6–8 hours/day) promotes healthy growth and fruit production.

4. Watering: Keep soil evenly moist; avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot.

5. Care: Stake or cage plants to support spreading branches. Fertilize every 3–4 weeks with a balanced fertilizer.

6. Growth & Harvest: Plants grow 90–120 cm tall. Fruits are ready to harvest when the husk turns brown and the fruit fills it completely.
