Grow the authentic taste of Italy at home with Sweet Pepper Yellow – Corno di Toro Giallo, also known as the Italian Bull’s Horn Pepper. This traditional variety produces attractive, long and tapered yellow sweet peppers with a mild, pleasant flavour.
The fruits can be enjoyed fresh in salads or used for cooking, roasting, grilling and stuffing. The plants can be grown in garden beds, raised beds and sufficiently large containers, making them suitable for home gardens, rooftops, terraces and balconies in Pakistan.
With proper sunlight, watering, nutrition and seasonal care, the plants can produce a rewarding harvest of colourful yellow peppers.

Sowing time may vary slightly according to local temperature and weather conditions.
Place the seeds in a clean, lightly damp tissue for approximately 4–5 hours before sowing. The tissue should remain moist but not dripping wet.
Sow the seeds approximately 0.5–1 cm deep in a light, fertile and well-draining seed-starting mix.
Keep the growing medium lightly moist and place the tray or pot in a warm, bright location. Avoid overwatering, as constantly wet soil may damage the seeds or young seedlings.
Transplant healthy seedlings after they have developed several true leaves and are strong enough to handle.
Maintain approximately 40–50 cm spacing between plants in garden beds. For container growing, use a sufficiently large pot or grow bag with good drainage.
Provide approximately 6–8 hours of direct sunlight for healthy growth and better fruit production.
During extreme summer heat, particularly above 40°C, light afternoon protection may help reduce plant stress.
Water deeply when the upper layer of soil begins to dry. Keep the soil evenly moist, but never continuously waterlogged.
Watering frequency will depend on the weather, pot size, soil mix and stage of plant growth.
Feed with a balanced or suitable organic fertilizer during active growth. Use fertilizer according to the product instructions and begin with a mild dose, especially for young plants.
Use a stake or suitable support when required, particularly when the plant carries several heavy fruits.
Harvest the peppers when they have developed a rich yellow colour, firm texture and mature size. Handle the branches gently and cut the fruit with clean scissors or pruners.
Regular harvesting may help the plant continue producing new flowers and fruits.
Seed germination, plant growth, fruit size, colour intensity and yield may vary depending on temperature, seed handling, soil quality, sunlight, watering, nutrition and general growing conditions.
