Approximately 200–300 seeds per pack.
Spinach F1 Hybrid Broadleaf is a vigorous leafy vegetable variety suitable for late-season, summer and monsoon sowing. It produces broad, tender green leaves and can be grown in grow bags, raised beds, rooftop gardens, kitchen gardens and open soil.
Under suitable growing conditions, regular harvesting can encourage continued production of fresh leaves.
Sowing season:
20 June to 15 August
Sowing method:
Sow the seeds directly in the final grow bag, raised bed or soil bed. Nursery preparation or transplanting is not required.
Soak the seeds in clean water for 4–5 hours before sowing. Sow approximately ½ inch deep and cover lightly with soft soil.
Recommended grow-bag sizes:
24 × 12 inches
36 × 12 inches
Seeds may be sown in rows or spread evenly over the growing area. Avoid overcrowding and thin excess seedlings after germination to provide adequate growing space.
Soil:
Use rich, soft and well-draining soil. A recommended mixture is:
50% Bhalu Mitti
50% organic matter, preferably vermicompost
Sunlight:
Provide approximately 4–6 hours of morning sunlight. During extremely hot weather, protect young plants from intense afternoon sunlight.
Watering:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water gently to avoid disturbing the seeds and young seedlings.
Feeding:
Mix vermicompost into the soil before sowing. During active growth, a suitable vegetable fertilizer may be applied according to its labelled instructions. Avoid excessive fertilizer application.
Plant care:
Maintain proper spacing and good airflow. Remove weeds, weak seedlings and yellow or damaged leaves when required. Check the plants regularly and address any growing problems promptly.
Harvesting:
Begin harvesting the tender outer leaves when they reach a suitable size. Leave the central growing point undamaged to support repeated harvesting.
Regular picking can encourage the development of fresh leaves.
Seeds are intended for sowing only. Do not use the packaged seeds for food, feed or direct consumption. Keep out of the reach of children and animals.
Pack quantity: Approximately 200–300 seeds.
