I'm impressed with the quality of seeds. Germination rates were about 90% and it is excellent, and the seedlings are healthy. The packaging was neat, instructions were clear. Overall, happy with my purchase and would recommend!
Approx. 20 seeds per pack.
Grow fresh and aromatic rosemary at home with Rosemary Herb Seeds. Botanically known as Salvia rosmarinus and formerly called Rosmarinus officinalis, rosemary is a popular perennial herb valued for its fragrant, needle-like leaves and attractive evergreen growth.
It is suitable for kitchen gardens, balconies, terraces, raised beds and medium-sized pots. Once established, rosemary can be harvested regularly for use in cooking, seasoning, herbal preparations and decorative planting.
October to December and February to March
For improved germination, soak the seeds in normal water for 12–24 hours before sowing. Rosemary seeds may germinate slowly, so patience is important.
Germination may take approximately 2–5 weeks, depending on seed quality, temperature, moisture and growing conditions.
Keep the seedlings in bright indirect light initially. After establishment, gradually move them to a location receiving approximately 5–7 hours of sunlight daily.
Transplant seedlings when they have developed several true leaves and are strong enough to handle. Maintain approximately 12–18 inches of spacing between plants.
Use loose, fertile and fast-draining soil. A suitable mixture may include:
Water when the upper layer of soil begins to dry. Avoid excessive watering, as rosemary performs best in well-drained soil.
Begin light harvesting once the plant is healthy and well established. Cut only the upper tender shoots and avoid removing more than one-third of the plant at one time.
