Grow a colourful harvest at home with Rainbow Radish Mix Seeds – Ravanelli Colorati Italian. This attractive mixed variety produces round radishes in four distinctive colours: red, dark purple, yellow and white.
The crisp, fresh roots are suitable for salads, garnishing, sandwiches and everyday kitchen use. Their bright colours make them especially appealing for home gardens, raised beds and container gardening.
Radishes are quick-growing vegetables that are best sown directly in loose, well-drained soil. This variety is suitable for gardeners who want an easy-to-grow winter vegetable with an attractive mixed-colour harvest.

September to November
Sowing time can vary slightly according to local temperature and weather conditions.
Radish should preferably be directly sown in its final growing place because transplanting may disturb the developing roots.
Prepare loose, soft and well-drained soil.
Sow seeds approximately ½ inch deep.
Keep a distance of around 2–3 inches between plants.
Maintain approximately 8–12 inches between rows.
Water gently after sowing.
Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged.
Seeds normally germinate within approximately 4–10 days, depending on temperature, moisture and seed conditions.
Use loose, fertile and stone-free soil so the roots can develop properly.
A suitable soil mixture may include:
50% garden soil
50% well-decomposed compost or vermicompost
Avoid fresh manure and excessive nitrogen, as these may produce too many leaves and poorly developed roots.
Provide approximately 5–6 hours of direct sunlight daily. In warmer weather, morning sunlight is preferable.
Keep the soil evenly moist throughout the growing period.
Irregular watering may cause radishes to become:
Cracked
Tough
Pithy
Excessively strong in flavour
Do not allow water to remain standing in the container.
When seedlings develop their first true leaves, remove weak or overcrowded plants. Proper spacing is important for developing round, well-shaped roots.
Use a container or grow bag at least 8–10 inches deep with proper drainage holes.
A 12×12-inch grow bag can be used for growing multiple radish plants, provided they are spaced properly.
Radishes generally require only moderate feeding when grown in fertile soil. Use well-decomposed compost or a light, balanced fertilizer if required.
Avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer because it may encourage leafy growth instead of root development.
Radishes may become ready for harvesting approximately 25–45 days after sowing, depending on the colour, temperature, soil and growing conditions.
Harvest when the roots reach a suitable size. Do not leave mature radishes in the soil for too long, as they may become fibrous, hollow or overly pungent.
