Nemophila maculata, commonly known as Five Spot, is a charming cool-season flowering annual valued for its delicate pale white to light lavender flowers, each marked with distinctive deep purple spots near the petal tips.
Its compact growth and attractive blooms make it suitable for pots, grow bags, borders, flower beds, balconies and home gardens. In the plains of Pakistan, the preferred sowing period is October to November, allowing the plants to establish during the cooler months.

Moisten the growing medium before sowing.
Scatter the seeds thinly over the surface.
Cover them with only a very thin layer of fine soil or growing medium. Avoid deep sowing.
Water gently with a fine spray so the seeds are not displaced.
Keep the medium consistently lightly moist, but never waterlogged.
Place the container in a bright, well-ventilated location.
Once seedlings are established, thin or transplant them carefully to provide adequate spacing.
Gradually provide good sunlight as plants develop.
Avoid excessive watering and heavy fertilizer, as these can encourage excessive leafy growth.
