Morning Glory (Field Grown) is a fast-growing, climbing annual vine known for its beautiful, trumpet-shaped flowers that open in the morning and close by afternoon. It produces a stunning mix of blue, purple, pink, and white blooms, making it perfect for decorating fences, walls, trellises, balconies, and pergolas.
This variety is easy to grow from seed and performs very well in Pakistan’s warm climate, making it suitable for both beginner and experienced gardeners.

 Sowing Season in Pakistan

  • Hot Climate Areas: February – April

  • Cold Climate Areas: April – July

 Growing Instructions

1. Site & Sunlight

  • Choose a location with full sun (at least 6–8 hours daily).

  • Morning Glory grows best in warm, open areas with good air circulation.

2. Soil

  • Use well-drained, loose soil (sandy loam or garden soil mixed with compost).

  • Ideal soil pH: 6.0–7.5.

3. Seed Preparation

  • Soak seeds in water for 8–12 hours before sowing to improve germination.

4. Sowing Method

  • Sow seeds directly in the ground or in pots.

  • Plant seeds 1–1.5 cm deep.

  • Keep a spacing of 30–45 cm between plants.

5. Watering

  • Water lightly after sowing.

  • Keep the soil moist during germination (7–10 days).

  • After establishment, water 2–3 times a week; more frequently in very hot weather.

6. Support

  • Provide a trellis, net, fence, or wires for the vine to climb.

7. Fertilizer

  • Mix organic compost or well-rotted manure into the soil before planting.

  • Apply a balanced fertilizer (NPK 10-10-10) every 3–4 weeks.

  • Avoid excess nitrogen, as it promotes leaves more than flowers.

8. Flowering & Care

  • Plants start flowering in 4–6 weeks after sowing.

  • Remove weak or overcrowded shoots for better air flow and more blooms.

  • Protect from aphids and mites using neem oil or mild soapy spray.

 Uses

  • Ideal for fences, walls, arches, pergolas, balconies, and pots.

  • Creates a colorful vertical display and attracts butterflies and pollinators.

Morning Glory Field Grown is an excellent choice for summer gardens in Pakistan, offering quick growth, low maintenance, and a long season of bright, cheerful flowers.
