Morning Glory Heavenly Blue is a classic and highly popular climbing annual vine admired for its large, vibrant blue, trumpet-shaped flowers with a lighter throat. The blooms open early in the morning and create a refreshing, eye-catching display throughout the summer season.
This fast-growing climber is ideal for covering fences, trellises, pergolas, arches, balconies, and walls. It thrives in Pakistan’s summer climate and is very easy to grow from seed, making it perfect for home gardens and landscaping.

1. Sunlight
Plant in full sun (6–8 hours daily) for best growth and abundant flowering.
2. Soil
Well-drained, fertile soil mixed with compost or organic matter.
Ideal soil pH: 6.0 – 7.5.
3. Seed Preparation
Soak seeds in water for 8–12 hours before sowing to improve germination.
4. Sowing Method
Sow seeds directly in the ground or in large pots.
Sowing depth: 1–1.5 cm
Plant spacing: 30–45 cm
Germination: 7–10 days in warm weather.
5. Watering
Water lightly after sowing.
Keep soil moist until seedlings establish.
After establishment, water 2–3 times per week, daily during extreme heat.
6. Support
Provide strong support such as trellis, net, fence, or bamboo stakes for climbing.
7. Fertilizer
Mix compost or well-rotted manure before planting.
Apply balanced fertilizer (NPK 10-10-10) every 3–4 weeks.
Avoid excess nitrogen to encourage more flowers.
8. Flowering & Care
Flowering begins about 4–6 weeks after sowing.
Remove faded flowers and weak shoots to promote continuous blooming.
Control aphids and mites with neem oil or mild insecticidal soap if required.
Perfect for fences, walls, pergolas, arches, balconies, and vertical gardens.
