Optimal Sowing Time in Pakistan: November to December
Cosmos Sea Shells thrive in cooler winter temperatures with full sunlight exposure.
Soil Preparation:
Use well-draining soil enriched with compost or organic matter.
A slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0–7.5) is ideal.
Sowing Seeds:
Sow seeds directly in seed trays, pots, or garden beds.
Lightly cover the seeds with 0.5 - 1 cm of soil.
Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
Germination:
Seeds germinate in 10 - 15 days at temperatures around 15 - 20°C.
Maintain moderate humidity for better sprouting.
Transplanting:
Once seedlings have 2 - 3 true leaves, transplant them into garden beds or larger pots.
Space plants 25 - 30 cm apart to allow airflow and healthy growth.
Care & Maintenance:
Place plants in full sunlight for 6 - 8 hours daily.
Water moderately; Cosmos are drought-tolerant once established.
Fertilize lightly every 3 - 4 weeks with a balanced fertilizer to encourage flowering.
