Sowing Seasons (Pakistan)

• Winter Sowing: October to February

• Summer Sowing: March to June

• Thrives in cool winters and moderately warm summer conditions.

 Growing Instructions

1. Soil Preparation:

• Use well-drained, fertile soil with good organic content.

• Incorporate compost or decomposed manure for healthy growth.

• Soil pH: 6.0–7.0.

2. Sowing Method:

• Sow seeds directly in garden beds or pots.

• Cover lightly with 0.5–1 cm of soil.

• Keep soil consistently moist until germination.

• Seeds germinate in 7–12 days depending on temperature.

3. Sunlight:

• Requires full sun to partial shade (4–6 hours of sunlight daily).

4. Watering:

• Water regularly to maintain slightly moist soil.

• Avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot.

5. Plant Care:

• Thin seedlings to 5–10 cm spacing to allow healthy growth.

• Apply balanced fertilizer or organic manure every 20–25 days.

• Harvest leaves before flowering for maximum flavor.

6. Harvesting:

• Leaves can be harvested in 30–40 days.
