Add timeless beauty and fragrance to your garden with Daffodils (Paper White) — known in Urdu as گلِ نرگس (Gul-e-Nargis). These elegant white flowers symbolize purity and renewal. Each bulb produces clusters of sweetly scented, star-shaped white blooms on tall green stems, perfect for borders, pots, or indoor displays.
Paper White daffodils are easy to grow and bloom reliably, even in mild winters. In Pakistan’s climate, they perform exceptionally well when planted in autumn to early winter, bringing refreshing beauty to your garden from December to February.
1. Best Planting Time:
October to December (ideal for cool-season flowering).
2. Soil Preparation:
Use loose, well-drained soil enriched with compost.
A mix of garden soil + sand + organic compost (1:1:1) works best.
3. Planting Method:
Plant bulbs 3–4 inches deep, with the pointed end facing up.
Space bulbs 3–4 inches apart.
Water well after planting.
4. Sunlight & Watering:
Sunlight: Full sun to partial shade.
Watering: Keep the soil slightly moist, not soggy. Reduce watering once flowers start fading.
5. Care Tips:
Blooming period: Late winter to early spring.
Remove spent flowers but keep the leaves until they turn yellow naturally — this helps bulbs store energy for next season.
After blooming, bulbs can stay in the ground or be lifted and stored in a cool, dry place.
