Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is a fragrant, easy-to-grow perennial herb famous for the natural attraction it holds for cats! Its mint-scented, soft green leaves produce an oil called nepetalactone that cats find irresistible.
Beyond its feline appeal, catnip is also valued as a calming herbal plant for humans — often used in teas and natural remedies for relaxation, digestion, and mild sleep support. The plant grows quickly, produces delicate white or lavender flowers, and attracts bees and butterflies, making it a beautiful and useful addition to any garden.
Perfect for home gardeners, herbal enthusiasts, and cat lovers alike!
