Yellow Capsicum (شملہ مرچ پیلی) is a vibrant and high-yielding sweet bell pepper variety known for its bright golden-yellow fruits, crisp texture, and mild, sweet taste.
These attractive peppers are perfect for salads, stir-fries, stuffing, and grilling, adding color and flavor to every dish. The plants are vigorous and disease-resistant, producing uniform fruits with thick walls and glossy skin.
Ideal for pots, raised beds, or open-field cultivation, this variety grows well in warm climates like Pakistan’s.
1. Soil:
Rich, well-drained loamy soil with good organic matter. Ideal pH: 6.0–7.0.
2. Sowing Time (Pakistan):
Best sown from February, March and October, November.
3. Sowing Method:
Sow seeds ¼ inch deep in nursery trays or small pots.
Transplant after 4–5 weeks, when seedlings are 5–6 inches tall.
Keep 18 inches between plants and 24 inches between rows.
4. Watering:
Maintain even moisture in the soil — do not let it dry out completely.
5. Sunlight:
Needs 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
6. Germination Time:
Seeds germinate in 8–12 days at temperatures between 25–30°C.
7. Harvesting:
Ready to harvest in 70–90 days after transplanting when fruits turn bright yellow and firm.
