Bring vibrant tropical beauty to your home garden with Caladium Mix Colour Bulbs – Pack of 5. Caladium is an ornamental foliage plant known for its attractive heart-shaped leaves and striking patterns in shades of pink, red, white, and green.
Each pack contains 5 Caladium bulbs supplied in randomly selected colour varieties. Colours and patterns cannot be selected, and all five bulbs may not necessarily produce different colours. Natural variation in leaf colour, pattern, size, and growth is normal.
Caladiums are ideal for decorative pots, grow bags, balconies, patios, shaded garden beds, entrances, and indoor areas receiving bright indirect light. They grow best in warm weather, fertile well-draining soil, bright shade, and filtered sunlight.
Growing Season: In Hot Climates like Lahore: March/April to October
Use either:
For the best spacing and plant development, plant one bulb per grow bag. Multiple bulbs may also be planted together in a larger decorative container while maintaining suitable spacing between them.
Prepare the growing medium using:
Mix both ingredients thoroughly before planting. The soil should be loose, fertile, and well-draining. Avoid compact soil and containers without drainage holes.
Inspect the bulbs before planting. Healthy dormant bulbs are usually dry, rough, and reasonably firm.
Do not plant bulbs that are:
Small dry marks or a rough outer surface may naturally occur on dormant bulbs.
Identify the rough or uneven side containing visible eyes, buds, or growing points. This side should face upward.
The smoother or flatter side should face downward. When the direction is unclear, plant the bulb sideways rather than placing it deeply upside down.
Plant each bulb approximately 1.5 to 2 inches deep.
Cover the bulb lightly with soil without pressing the growing medium too firmly. Keep suitable space between bulbs when planting several in one large container or garden bed.
Water lightly after planting to settle the soil.
After planting:
Excessive watering can increase the risk of bulb rot.
Place the grow bags or pots in:
Protect Caladium plants from harsh afternoon sunlight, particularly during very hot weather, as strong sun may scorch the leaves.
Caladium bulbs may generally take around 2 to 6 weeks to sprout, depending on temperature, bulb condition, moisture, planting depth, and local growing conditions.
Warm soil usually supports better sprouting. Avoid repeatedly digging into the soil to check the bulbs.
Once new shoots appear:
Caladium may naturally enter dormancy when temperatures fall or the growing season ends. During this period, leaves may turn yellow, dry, and gradually disappear.
When dormancy begins:
The bulbs may begin growing again when warm conditions return.
This product contains 5 randomly selected Caladium bulbs. Colour choice is not available. The pack may include pink, red, white, green, or mixed-pattern varieties, but a particular colour combination or five different colours is not guaranteed.
Sprouting time, plant size, colour intensity, and leaf pattern may vary according to the natural bulb variety, climate, soil, watering, sunlight, and growing conditions.
