• February to April

• September to November

For better germination, sow when the temperature is approximately 20°C to 30°C.

Basic Growing Instructions

Soak the seeds in normal water for around 8 to 12 hours before sowing. Sow each seed approximately ½ to 1 inch deep in soft, fertile and well-draining soil.

Keep the soil lightly moist, but avoid waterlogging. Seeds commonly germinate within approximately 7 to 21 days, depending on temperature, moisture, soil conditions and seed quality.

Provide the plant with:

• Around 5 to 7 hours of direct sunlight

• A trellis, bamboo frame, wire or other climbing support

• Regular but moderate watering

• Good drainage and airflow

• Vermicompost or balanced plant nutrition in moderate quantity

For container growing, a 12-inch pot or 12 × 12-inch grow bag is suitable. A larger container may support stronger root development and more vigorous growth.
